Welcome to Amythest Cat Creations featuring one-of-a-kind handmade original bead work, jewelry, textiles and more. I specialize in re-loving, which is reusing beads, pendants, old chains and practically anything else deserving of a new life. The whole nine lives thing really, =^.^=. Additionally you may notice the use of semiprecious stones, I favor these for their beauty and for the feelings they generate, as some believe they are capable of being more then just a thing.
I aim to make every piece unique, no two ever the same, mayhap close but not identical. Where is the fun in that everything being the same anyway? That's what commercial products are for. You're here because you want something different, right?!
Please, be my guest and feel free to have a closer look. Impressions, thoughts, feelings are welcomed and encouraged. See something you like, desire something to be made? Note me. Don't have a deviant account? Just below this box you will find Devious Information. There you will find a website link. This will take you to a guest book where you may leave your print and my business e-mail. So, satisfy your curiosity and let Amythest Cat take care of you! =^.-=

Halloween edition
Pumpkins, rats, zombies, ghosts and spooks. Man, I've been busy
No, truly, I've seen them all in the span of a week...
Kicked off last Wednesday with one of my more pleasant 2 hours waits in line to see (and hope to meet) Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson. Ringing any bells yet. Tap it out, or should I say
T.A.P.S. it out, yes, I got the meet the
Ghost Hunters. And oh man did it rock! So much love to Jason and Grant for sticking it through aand making it to see us all. "Curtains" were up at 8 pm, they started their day in Virgina at 3 am (I'm in Seacoast NH) and Jason was sick to boot. But the were just plain old great to be around. It was like getting together to chat, they were totally interactive, down to earth, parents, then plumbers then Ghost hunters. I spoke with each, got some segments recorded on my mp3 player and had a grand old time.

Pumpkin Fest!
I've finally this year kicked my behind into gear to get into volunteer activities that have appealed to me. Setting up book sales at my public library, plants sales and watering the adopt-a-spot with the garden club, and just this past weekend, the Pumpkin fest. And as an added bonus....rain!
But, I slogged it through 7 and a half hours, the only volunteer in costume (gypsy, thank you

) and sold bracelets, monitored for pumpkin carving and painting, scarecrow making, and enticed the ghouls and goblins to pumpkin ring-toss. The target was to catch a pumpkin with the toss of a hula hoop. I'd play with them "Beat a gypsy, catch a pumpkin!". The event also included pumpkin bowling, smashing, catapult (launched a pumpkin from a trebucehete), a hay slide, wagon ride, entertainment and food, food, food. I came home with pumpkins huge and small and had a blast, even in the rain.
Following day....
They're coming to get you Dover...
checking my voice mail I find that the Zombie walk for the previous day had been postponed to this day. I have it free. Zombie up!
Not having a costume planned (husband and I were not origianally going to be able to make it) I reprised my gypsy (that day in the rain was pretty tragic it turns out). Was so very happy to the library book I had on hand (A Halloween How To) with great make-up tips. Spirit gum, oatmeal, cotton balls and make-up are great for rotting and dead skin. Did my whole face, one hand and just blacked up the other. I hope to snag pictures from friends... Won second place in costumes, 3rd with hubby in jello-brains eating contest as well. Get dressed and with free stuff, all good to me. I have to remember to donate next year...
Wew, this is getting long, thanks if your sticking through it!
Finally Halloween. There was trick or treating last night. Weird, I know, but they do try to keep the kidlets safe... so finally this years costume came out. I am Nezumi the Pi-Rat! I am sadly lacking in photos (I'm DYING for a digital camera) but hope to have some tonight for the local Halloween parade.
Oh, and on a more business related side, I have goods up and for sale at
Cynthia Design's Studio in Dover NH . So, please, have a looksie if you wind up in my neck of the woods. Here's hopeing for sales as I needs more supplies... >.<
Love to all, stay warm (or perhaps cool depending on your location on this huge spinning rock) and may the brighest blessings be yours!
